Crane Operator / DogmanAbout the Role
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Crane Operator and or Dogman to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role working across commercial, civil and construction projects throughout NSW.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the safe operation of cranes, lifting activities, load slinging, directing crane movements, and working closely with site supervisors and project teams to ensure all lifts are completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cranes safely and efficiently in accordance with site requirements.
- Perform dogging duties including slinging, load estimation, lifting gear inspection and directing crane movements.
- Conduct pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks.
- Read and interpret lift plans and follow Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
- Communicate effectively with site personnel using standard hand signals and two-way radios.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and equipment care.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company safety procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Current NSW High Risk Work Licence with:
- Dogging (DG)
- Relevant Crane Class (CN, CV, C2, C6, C1 or CO depending on experience)
- Current White Card (General Construction Induction)
- Current Driver Licence and reliable transport.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Excellent communication skills.
Desirable
- Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Rigging (RB, RI or RA).
- Working at Heights.
- Confined Space.
- EWP.
- Telehandler or Forklift Licence.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Experience in civil, infrastructure or commercial construction.
