Job Summary
The Maintenance Staff member works under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor to execute preventative and reactive maintenance across all structures, plants, equipment, gardens, and grounds at Velocity Karratha to ensure a fully operational, safe, and pleasant village infrastructure.
Job Purpose
To protect and enhance village capital assets, ensure continuous operation of essential services (power, water, HVAC), and guarantee rapid resolution of daily accommodation maintenance requests.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist to execute a structured Preventative Maintenance Schedule for all buildings and plant equipment.
- Respond promptly to daily maintenance tickets raised by reception, housekeeping, or guests (e.g., AC faults, plumbing issues).
- Support specialized external contractors when they are scheduled on site.
- Utilize and help manage a comprehensive inventory of tools, replacement components, painting supplies, and general hardware.
- Conduct routine safety inspections of common areas, water systems, fire control assets, and test/tag programs alongside the team.
- Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring safe practices across facilities maintenance expenditure guidelines.
Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of facility maintenance backgrounds and Velocity assets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for handling equipment and utility disruptions.
- Exposure to or capacity to handle swimming pool filtration systems, basic water testing, and compliance checks.
- Practical mechanical aptitude for executing equipment troubleshooting and assisting with facility installations.
- Valid manual driver's license and high-level commitment to safety protocols.
- Certified Test & Tag & Fire Safety Credentials
