The Queensland Paediatric Rehabilitation Service, Children's Health Queensland, is a Specialist Rehabilitation Medicine Service which operates under a statewide model and includes:

Queensland Cerebral Palsy and Rehabilitation Research Centre
The Queensland Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (QPRS) is based at the QCH and has close links with other hospitals and service providers. The service operates within a state-wide model, with an interdisciplinary structure and an emphasis on child and family-centred care, evidence-based practice and the use of outreach and telehealth technologies to provide high quality tertiary health programs to children with rehabilitation needs. Care is provided through inpatient services, day rehabilitation, outpatient and outreach services.
About the Role
In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:
Clinical / Technical
Independently manage an allocated research and clinical workload, including data collection, Transition Coaching facilitation and individual provision of the transition coaching program, in accordance with established clinical and departmental protocols, policies and procedures; utilising evidence-based practice and ethical standards, demonstrating a high level of independence, clinical judgement and complex decision making in relation to delivery of the NAVIGATE: Transition Coaching program.
High level clinical knowledge and skill, based on experience and understanding of the management of adolescents with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) requiring Rehabilitation.
Communication, Teamwork & Consumer Involvement
Actively participate in team meetings relating to research completion. Liaise and work effectively in a professional manner with participants and their carers, other health professionals, students, and the clinical investigators of the NAVIGATE program to achieve requirements of research project, utilising negotiation and conflict resolution skills as required.
Demonstrate high-level organisational skills, integrity, and discretion in dealing with confidential information, including independent management of complex and/or non-routine research elements.
Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resources management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, work, health and safety, and ethical behaviour.
Leadership/ service improvement
Provide a high level of autonomous leadership in clinical decision-making regarding participant consent, recruitment, and care co-ordination within the research project, including the escalation of risks where necessary.
Provide direction, advice, and leadership with regards to, completion of research related tasks and dissemination of research findings.
Participate in developing, evaluating, and updating clinical service procedures, protocols, standards and guidelines as they relate to research completion.
