Assistant Venue Leader – Yo-Chi Canberra
You asked. We listened. Canberra... we're finally coming!
We're opening our first ever ACT venue, and we're looking for an incredible Assistant Venue Leader to help bring it to life.
Working alongside the Venue General Manager, you'll play a key role in launching the venue, building an amazing team, and creating the fun, high energy culture that Yo-Chi is known for. From recruitment and training through to opening day and beyond, you'll help shape the guest experience from day one.
As part of your onboarding, you'll complete comprehensive training at one of our Sydney venues before returning to Canberra ready to open. You'll be fully supported every step of the way. What you'll be doing
- Support the Venue General Manager in leading and inspiring a high performing team
- Help recruit, onboard, coach, and develop an amazing team ahead of opening
- Lead by example and deliver exceptional guest experiences every day
- Support venue operations including rostering, stock management, cash handling, and food safety
- Help drive performance by achieving KPIs and maintaining operational excellence
- Create a positive team culture where people love coming to work
What we're looking for
- Leadership experience in hospitality, retail, or QSR
- A people first leader who enjoys coaching and developing others
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A hands on attitude with the ability to thrive in fast paced environments
- Positive, resilient, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Willingness to travel to Sydney for initial training before the venue opens
