What You'll Do
As the HSS Team Leader, you will lead a team of Health, Safety and Security professionals supporting Midstream & Energy Solutions (M&ES). You will provide strategic leadership, expert guidance and operational support to strengthen safety performance, manage risk and ensure compliance across a diverse portfolio of operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing HSS team.
- Partnering with operational leaders to drive a strong safety culture and achieve HSS objectives.
- Developing and implementing HSS strategies, programs, standards and improvement initiatives.
- Leading risk management, incident investigations, audits and assurance activities.
- Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, Safety Cases, environmental approvals and company standards.
- Overseeing contractor HSS performance and critical risk management processes.
- Driving continuous improvement through performance analysis, reporting and organisational learning.
- Supporting emergency response capability, incident management and crisis preparedness.
- Building strong relationships with regulators, contractors and key stakeholders.
What You'll Bring
You're an experienced HSE leader with a strong track record in high-risk operational environments and a passion for safety excellence.
- Extensive HSE experience within oil and gas, major hazard facilities, or similar industries.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to influence safety performance across diverse teams.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, Safety Cases, Environment Plans and HSE management systems.
- Experience in incident investigations, audits, assurance and risk management.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and coaching skills.
- A tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety or a related discipline.
