Temporary Full Time | Maternity Leave Relief until October 2027
Are you a people person who enjoys helping others and providing great customer service? Swan Hill Rural City Council is seeking a friendly, reliable and motivated individual to join our Customer Service and Revenue team.
This is a varied role where you will be the first point of contact for many members of our community. You will assist customers with enquiries, support Council’s rating and property functions, and provide administrative support to help deliver quality services to our community.
About the Role
In this role you will:
- Provide friendly and professional customer service in person, over the phone and online.
- Assist customers with enquiries and direct requests to the appropriate area of Council.
- Support Council’s rating, property and revenue functions.
- Assist with receipting, banking and cash handling duties.
- Prepare correspondence and maintain accurate records.
- Provide administrative support to the Customer Service and Revenue team.
- Work with colleagues to deliver responsive and high-quality services to the community.
What we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in customer service, administration or a similar role.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience handling cash and EFTPOS transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
What we offer
- Temporary full-time maternity leave relief position until October 2027
- Hours of work: 8.25am to 5.10pm.
- Hourly rate of $34.45. Super is paid at 15%.
