About the Role
As the Senior Analyst, Economic Modelling, you will lead computable general equilibrium (CGE) analysis to support policy development, inform major initiatives and provide high-level advice to Departmental executives and NSW Government clients.
The role combines technical leadership with project delivery, translating complex modelling into clear, practical insights. You will also help strengthen the team’s capability by improving methodologies, guiding staff development and maintaining strong relationships across government and academic networks.

We're Looking For

Economic Modelling Expertise: Strong experience in computable general equilibrium (CGE) modelling, with the ability to apply robust analytical methods to complex policy and economic issues.

Strategic Analysis and Advice: Ability to translate complex modelling outputs into clear, practical insights and provide high-quality advice to senior executives and government stakeholders.

Project Delivery: Proven experience managing modelling projects from scoping through to delivery, balancing competing priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Stakeholder Engagement: Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across government, collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and engage with academic or external networks.

Leadership and Capability Building: Demonstrated ability to strengthen team capability through mentoring, improving methodologies, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
