About Prison and Youth Detention Health Services
Prison and Youth Detention Health Services (PYDHS) is a rapidly growing division within the West Moreton Health region, delivering primary health care services to detained, remanded and sentenced prisoners and Young Persons across eight facilities (six Correctional Centres and two Youth Detention Centres).
What we're looking for
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated contemporary advanced practice, expert clinical skills and knowledge in credentialed scope of practice and leadership capability enabling the delivery and support of high-quality patient focused
Demonstrates the ability to apply specialised knowledge of contemporary advanced nursing practice and theory in credentialed scope of practice and to participate directly and indirectly in the delivery of clinical care.
Demonstrates the ability to build and maintain strong relationships, open communication and a positive environment within and across the multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others to a high standard.
Mandatory Requirements
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra).
Ability to meet credentialing requirements of WMH is mandatory for this position
