You’ll join TELUS Health’s Asia-Pacific Employer business as a strategic finance leader, driving FP&A support that shapes decision-making across the region. In this role, you’ll partner closely with commercial and operational leaders, translating financial results, forecasts, and trends into clear insights and recommendations that support growth, margin, and financial discipline. You’ll lead budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and variance reporting, while proactively identifying risks and opportunities to improve business outcomes. With responsibility for leading FP&A activity and managing one direct report, this is a highly influential role with direct impact on the financial performance and strategic direction of the business.
You’ll also enjoy a flexible hybrid working model, with four days working from home and one collaboration day each week in our Melbourne CBD office, giving you the balance of autonomy, connection, and team collaboration.
What you'll do:
Lead FP&A for TELUS Health’s APAC Employer business, partnering with leadership teams across APAC, Canada, and Korea to provide clear financial insight and support strategic decisions
Manage one direct report and provide direction across budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and reporting activity
Partner with APAC Employer leadership to translate financial results, trends, and forecasts into actionable recommendations that support growth, margin, and financial discipline
Lead the monthly and quarterly financial review process, analysing P&L performance, KPI movements, and key variances to explain business drivers and emerging risks
Develop and deliver annual planning and budgeting processes, challenging assumptions and building robust financial plans aligned to business objectives
Support revenue forecasting and gross margin analysis, including pricing, sales incentives, and direct cost drivers to inform commercial decisions
Analyse indirect cost performance and identify opportunities for cost optimisation while supporting business capability and operational needs
Build business cases and financial models for new initiatives and investment opportunities, including post-implementation review to assess performance against assumptions
Contribute ad hoc analysis and strategic projects in support of evolving business priorities
Work closely with North American finance centres of excellence to share best practices and ensure consistent application of FP&A processes
What you’ll bring:
7–10 years’ experience in FP&A, financial analysis, business partnering, or controllership, including experience supporting senior leaders in a strategic advisory capacity
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Strong FP&A capability across budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modelling, and P&L management
Advanced Excel skills, with experience using pivot tables, lookups, data modelling, Power Pivot, dashboards, charts, and reports
Proficiency with ERP systems, Power BI or similar reporting tools, and large, complex financial datasets
Proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations that influence senior stakeholders and support business decisions
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for financial and non-financial audiences
Strong commercial mindset and analytical rigour, with the ability to identify root causes, risks, and opportunities in a complex environment
Ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively across functions and geographies
Experience working in a regional, matrixed, or multi-country environment would be highly regarded
Korean language fluency is highly desirable, though not required for success in the role
