This is a unique opportunity to influence court practice across Victoria, work closely with judicial leadership, and help deliver a modern, consistent and accessible justice system.
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria is seeking an accomplished executive leader to drive strategic, operational and practice excellence across one of Victoria's largest and busiest courts.
Reporting directly to the CEO and as a member of the Executive Group, the Executive Director, Court Practice and Strategy provides strategic leadership over the systems, programs, policies and practices that underpin court operations. This influential role will help shape the future of court service delivery, enhance the court user experience, and drive consistency, innovation and continuous improvement across all court locations.
You will:

Provide authoritative advice to the Chief Magistrate, CEO, judiciary and executive leaders.

Lead strategic policy, practice development and legislative change initiatives.

Oversee court data, performance monitoring and organisational improvement programs.

Drive consistency, quality assurance and best-practice court operations across Victoria.

Champion cultural safety, accessibility and Koori justice initiatives.

Build strong partnerships with the judiciary, government agencies and key stakeholders.

Lead a team of subject matter experts delivering high-quality strategic and operational support.
