Westmead Private Hospital, part of Ramsay Health Care, is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Part-Time Inpatient Dietitian to join our highly regarded Allied Health Department. This role is ideal for a dietitian with acute inpatient experience who enjoys working collaboratively to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
About the Role
Our inpatient dietetics service provides referral-based nutritional assessment and management across a diverse range of specialties, including:
Neurology
Gastroenterology
Colorectal surgery
Geriatric medicine
Cardiothoracic surgery
Orthopaedics
You will provide evidence-based nutritional care for patients requiring support with malnutrition, enteral (NG) feeding, wound healing, post-operative nutrition, weight management and a variety of other complex nutritional needs.
Working closely with nursing staff, medical specialists, and food services, you will play a key role in ensuring patients receive appropriate nutrition care, including specialised diets and enteral feeding plans.
About You
You are a proactive and compassionate clinician who enjoys working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. You are committed to providing exceptional patient care and have excellent communication and organisational skills.
Essential criteria
Current Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status with Dietitians Australia
Previous inpatient/acute clinical experience
Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A positive, collaborative approach to patient care
Position Details
Immediate commencement
Part-time position (16 hours per week)
Initially 2 days per week, with the potential for additional hours in the future
Preferred working days are Tuesday and Friday, however flexibility can be discussed
