Senior Network Automation Engineer

FinXL is seeking a Senior Network Automation Engineer to join our team and be deployed within a leading banking client on their core-banking Application Migration project. In this key role, you will drive the automation, continuous integration, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks required to automate configurations across Cisco ACI, firewalls, and F5 systems. FinXL is also able to take over existing visas and provide sponsorship for consultants.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and execute automated orchestration workflows using Terraform and Ansible.
Build, operate, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Services.
Manage network configurations utilizing Git for version control.
Ensure code-driven compliance, automated testing, and validation of rule sets.
Translate physical and logical design specifications into automated scripts.
Support automated passive and canary deployment strategies with robust rollback plans.
Collaborate with Core Network Engineering teams to ensure seamless automation handover.
Key Skills & Experience
Strong experience with infrastructure orchestration tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for network automation.
Hands-on knowledge of operating CI/CD pipelines and version control using Git.
Good understanding of core network constructs from an API or programmability perspective.
Cisco accreditations such as CCNP, CCIE, or DevNet equivalents are advantageous.
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Familiarity with DNS load balancing, traffic steering, and firewall policy structures.
