We are seeking an experienced female support worker to support a 10 year old participant with ASD Level 3 and significant anxiety. She attends school; however, attendance can be challenging due to her anxiety. A Positive Behaviour Support Plan and allied health strategies are in place.
Role responsibilities:
- Providing personal care and toileting assistance
- Supporting complex behaviours, including screaming and crying
- Using calming and behaviour support strategies
- Engaging in pretend play and other suitable activities
- Assisting with general household activities
- Following guidance from her allied health team
Requirements:
- Experience supporting children with ASD Level 3 and high-care needs
- Confidence managing complex behaviours
- Willingness to consistently follow behaviour and communication strategies
- A patient, calm, reliable and compassionate approach
- Current Blue Card, First Aid and CPR
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
Pay: $55.00 – $75.00 per hour
