Orthoptist Level 1/2 at Sydney, Sydney Eye Hospital - Casual Pool
In this role, you will assess, plan, organise, deliver, and evaluate high-quality Orthoptic care in accordance with Australian Orthoptic Board and Orthoptics Australia core competencies, NSW Health policies, and SESLHD clinical practices to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Selection Criteria
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.
- Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and registration with the Australian Orthoptic Board; and demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development.
- Demonstrated core competency skills, commensurate with years of experience, in: Orthoptic assessment and management of amblyopia, strabismus, and ocular motility disorders Ophthalmic assessment of Glaucoma, retinal conditions, neuro-ophthalmic conditions, and Cataract
- Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills, to both engage patients/clients and work effectively with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgement in the provision of clinical care using evidence based practice, commensurate with years of experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to the use and application of professional and clinical digital technologies.
- Demonstrated participation or leadership in quality improvement processes and teaching, commensurate with years of experience.
- Ability to respond to the demands and pressures of the role while managing time effectively.
- Current drivers’ licence (or a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
