Casual Catering & Events Assistant
Reports to: Founder & Creative Director, MOMENTI

Location: Sydney-based, with travel to event locations as required
Hours: Flexible and event-based, including weekends, evenings and occasional early mornings
Position Purpose
The Casual Catering & Events Assistant supports the delivery of MOMENTI catering, events and experiences.
This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys hospitality, creativity and working with people. At MOMENTI, no two events — or working days — are the same. One day may involve preparing food and packing equipment, another styling a beautiful table, assisting with florals, serving guests or capturing behind-the-scenes content.
We are looking for someone who is willing to get involved, take initiative and contribute wherever needed to help create the MOMENTI experience.
Key Responsibilities
Event Preparation & Logistics
- Assist with food preparation and general catering prep.
- Pack, organise, load and transport catering equipment, dinnerware, props and styling items.
- Assist with event setup and pack-down, ensuring items are handled, cleaned and stored with care.
Events, Styling & Service
- Set and style tables, grazing stations and event spaces.
- Assist with dinnerware, linen, florals, props and other creative elements.
- Support food presentation, plating and replenishment throughout events.
- Provide warm, professional service to guests.
- Maintain MOMENTI's presentation and service standards throughout each event.
Creative & General Support
As a growing creative business, flexibility is an important part of the role. From time to time, you may also assist with:
- Behind-the-scenes photos, videos and social media content.
- Styling, florals and content creation.
- Product preparation and packing.
- General studio, event or business preparation.
The right person will be comfortable moving between responsibilities and happy to jump in wherever needed.
Experience & Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous hospitality, waitering, catering, restaurant or events experience.
- A genuine interest in hospitality, events, styling and the creative industry.
- Strong people skills and confidence interacting with clients and guests.
- Good organisation, attention to detail and the ability to take initiative.
- A hands-on, flexible and team-focused attitude.
- A current driver's licence and ability to travel to event locations.
- Availability across weekends and flexible working hours depending on events.

General Responsibilities
Represent MOMENTI professionally and positively, handle company and client property with care, follow relevant food safety and workplace health and safety requirements, and undertake other reasonable duties aligned with the nature of the role.
Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour
