Team Leader – Grounds Maintenance

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our growing maintenance team based in Newcastle. This is a hands-on leadership role that involves supervising crews while actively participating in day-to-day grounds maintenance activities across a variety of sites.
Our work spans multiple sectors, including:

Port of Newcastle
- Retirement villages
- Local council contracts
- Commercial and industrial sites
As a mobile role, you'll travel between sites throughout the Newcastle and surrounding regions using a company-provided vehicle.

About the Role

Lead and support maintenance crews across multiple contracts
- Carry out grounds maintenance and general site upkeep
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Liaise with clients and supervisors as required
- Assist with planning daily works and allocating tasks
- Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety procedures
What We're Looking For

Minimum 2–3 years' experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, vegetation management, or a similar field
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong work ethic and ability to lead by example
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Current driver's licence
