A Barista at Stocked Malvern is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages while providing warm, attentive customer service. The role involves working in a busy café and deli environment, taking orders, interacting with regular customers and visitors, maintaining a clean and organised coffee station, and supporting the broader front-of-house team when required.
The ideal Barista is friendly, reliable, efficient and passionate about coffee, with the ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods. Strong communication and teamwork are important, as the role works closely with other café and deli staff to deliver a smooth and welcoming customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing espresso-based coffees and other beverages to a consistently high standard.
- Operating and maintaining the coffee machine, grinder and barista equipment.
- Providing friendly and efficient service to customers.
- Taking orders and processing customer requests accurately.
- Maintaining a clean, hygienic and well-organised coffee station.
- Assisting with other café/deli and front-of-house duties when needed.
- Working efficiently as part of a team during busy service periods.
- Building positive relationships with regular customers and contributing to Stocked’s welcoming atmosphere.
Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38.0 per week
