Wellways are seeking a team of compassionate and resilient Disability Support Workers to support participants with intense, high needs. This role is ideal for someone experienced, calm under pressure and committed to providing safe, person-centred supports.
About the Role
You will provide support to participants with complex physical and psychosocial needs, supporting their safety, dignity and quality of life. Supports may take place in the home and community and require strong boundaries, emotional awareness and teamwork.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing respectful personal care and daily living support

Building trusting, caring relationships through consistent and compassionate support

Accurate documentation and communication with the wider support team
Shifts & Rostering

Buddy shifts provided to start (if required) for a safe and supported onboarding
-
Weekends, evenings and overnight shifts available
-
Rotating roster, flexible shifts available
About You
You bring a caring and compassionate approach to supporting people with disability and are reliable, dependable and committed to consistently showing up for participants. You are comfortable working overnight and weekend shifts and have a genuine willingness to learn, with training provided.
Any previous experience you may have either working with or those shaped by your own life experiences are highly valued, these can also include those of a carer/parent, if this sounds like you, we have the perfect opportunity right here, with us.
Strong communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to maintain professional boundaries are essential for success in this role.

Evidence of working rights within Australia such as a passport or birth certificate

A current valid Driver's Licence and an insured and registered vehicle

Blue Card and NDIS Workers Screening Check

NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate - free online certificate
- Minimum Qualification in Certificate Level 3 (desirable)
