Job Description
We are looking for a full-time Guest Service Agent who enjoys engaging with and assisting guests and colleagues. You will support the Front Office Assistant Managers with daily tasks at Reception and create a welcoming space for our guests. Offering the award rate of $25.70 per hour (increasing from 1 July) plus applicable penalty rates, this role offers a great development opportunity to grow your skills and confidence in a busy hotel in the heart of Melbourne's conferencing precinct and to be a part of the global Accor community.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing a unique and personalized experience for each guest at our hotel by creating connections and using creative ways to exceed guest expectations.

Ensuring a warm and professional check in and check out experience for every guest

Supporting the wider front office team when required, including concierge and reservations

Taking and directing incoming calls and responding to guest requests

Sharing information about the hotel and the local area with our guests

Maintaining the presentation of the front desk and hotel lobby
Qualifications
-
Availability to work a rotating roster including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays. Occasional overnight shifts may be required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritise tasks

Knowledge of the Opera property management system would be an advantage, however training will be provided for the right candidate

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good keyboard skills

Familiarity with Melbourne and the ability to make recommendations to guests is desirable

Current RSA, or willing to obtain prior to commencement

You must have current full-time working rights in Australia. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
