Primary objective
Provide high level business support to District and Health Centre Managers, including travel arrangements, procurement,
property maintenance and repairs, accounts payable and general administrative duties.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Deliver high-level administrative and logistical support, providing responsive, customer-focused services that contribute
to effective operations across Central Australia.
2. Coordinate day-to-day operations, ensuring health centres are well-resourced, maintained and operationally supported.
3. Undertake procurement, financial and logistical activities, including approvals, purchasing, asset management, workforce
travel, accommodation, freight and supplies, in line with policies and delegations.
4. Oversee facility and staff accommodation maintenance, coordinating and monitoring repairs, and escalating urgent issues.
5. Manage the tracking, repair and maintenance of equipment to provide safe, continuous and reliable service delivery.
6. Maintain accurate administrative systems, records and reporting to support decision-making and compliance.
7. Act as a key liaison between remote sites, central teams and external providers, fostering strong relationships and
delivering responsive, solution-focused assistance.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Proven ability to plan, facilitate and deliver multiple operational activities, effectively managing competing priorities and
meeting tight and changing deadlines.
2. Demonstrated experience delivering high-level administrative and logistical services in a complex, geographically
dispersed or service delivery environment.
3. Strong organisational, teamwork and problem-solving skills, with demonstrating initiative and sound judgement.
4. Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working
relationships and liaise with diverse stakeholders in a cross-cultural environment.
5. Demonstrated ability to undertake property, asset or maintenance-related activities, consisting of monitoring repairs,
resolving issues and liaising with external providers.
6. Demonstrated experience undertaking procurement and financial administration processes, comprising purchase orders,
purchasing systems and asset management, in accordance with relevant policies and delegations.
7. Sound experience using business systems, including records management, financial and asset management platforms,
with proficiency in Microsoft 365 and a strong focus on accurate, compliant documentation.
Desirable
1. Knowledge and understanding of NT Public Service procurement and travel processes, including NTG Pay and TRIPS.
2. Certificate III in office administration or business.
