Purpose
As Maintenance Technician, you will be the go-to person, prepared to take on any maintenance, repair, paint job or improvement challenge that may arise. You possess the ability to spot issues before they escalate and you skilfully employ your skills to address a diverse range of tasks, ensuring the facilities remain in impeccable condition.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure a shared safety mindset with strong focus on Workplace Health & Safety obligations
- Collaborate with a diverse team, requiring both a cooperative mindset and the ability to work independently
- Ensure facility & plant operation function at peak efficiency
- Encounter stimulating challenges that require innovative solutions
- Operate forklifts, trucks & crane dogging when required
- Be willing to undergo random drug & alcohol testing and comply with High-Risk Work Licence requirements
- Execute maintenance tasks and preventative maintenance projects based on our maintenance schedule & respond to unforeseen events
- Prepare & organise packaging containers for customer shipments & participate in container packing when required
- Vessel loading & unloading duties & water deliveries
Skills and Experience
- Prior experience with practical skills in general building maintenance, including basic carpentry, plumbing, or electrical – no official qualification required
- Current car, MR, Forklift & Dogman licence highly regarded but not essential
- Current Test & Tag ticket preferred
- Great problem solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, from the Director, to guests and contractors working onsite
- Available to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays as required
Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
