We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrician / Fire Alarm Technician to join our growing field service team. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys fault finding, servicing, programming, and commissioning complex fire detection and emergency warning systems across commercial and critical infrastructure environments.
You will work across a variety of leading fire systems including:
- Ampac
- Notifier
- Simplex
- Pertronic
- Fusion
- Emergency Warning & Intercommunication Systems (EWIS)
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintenance, fault finding, and repairs of fire alarm and EWIS systems
- Programming and commissioning of fire detection systems
- System interrogation and diagnostics
- Emergency and exit lighting testing and maintenance in accordance with Australian Standards
- Accurate digital reporting via mobile device
- Delivering high-quality customer service on-site
- Participation in an after-hours rotating on-call roster
Skills & Experience Essential
- Current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence
- Current Open Cabling / Communications Licence
- Current Victorian Driver Licence
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with fire alarm systems
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Experience servicing and commissioning fire panels
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
Highly Regarded
- Experience with Ampac, Notifier, Simplex, Pertronic and Fusion systems
- Knowledge of Australian Standards relating to fire systems and emergency lighting
- Experience within high rise building environments, healthcare, or critical facilities environments
