The School of Medical and Health Sciences is home to teaching and research in Medical and Biomedical Sciences, Allied Health, and Exercise and Sports Sciences, as well as in Public, Occupational and Environmental Health. Our world-class research is rapidly translated to provide solutions to some of the key health issues facing our community.
About the Opportunity
The School of Medical and Health Sciences at Edith Cowan University (ECU) is looking for an experienced administrator to join the Operations Team as a School Officer. This role is responsible for effectively providing a broad range of administrative roles, function and services to the School staff and operations.
The portfolio of responsibilities may include teaching and learning administrative support; assets; purchase orders; clinical placement administration; event coordination; student travel; research administrative support; and Committee support. This position will suit individuals who are self-motivated and thrive on working in a busy and complex work environment.
You may be asked from time-to-time to cover tasks outside of your portfolio.
About you
Experience in providing administrative support within a large organisation;
Demonstrated high level of administrative skills with attention to detail, accurately maintaining administrative systems and procedures;
Demonstrated high level organisational customer service and time management skills with the ability to prioritise numerous competing tasks with minimal supervision to meet deadlines and ensure targeted quality outcomes;
Demonstrated high level of skills in using standard software and database packages, including MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Adobe Pro in particular document formatting and collation;
Interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop good relationships and ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
Experience with coordinating events (room bookings, catering, scheduling etc)
Experience with committee support would be an advantage
