Accounts and Payroll Officer
Permanent Full Time
Salary commencing at $39.05 per hour (plus superannuation)
Council is seeking an Accounts and Payroll Officer with strong attention to detail, good communication skills and sound administration experience. In this role, you will support accurate accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processes across the organisation. You will also support debtor management and deliver professional, confidential and courteous service to employees, customers and stakeholders.
This position would suit someone with practical finance administration experience, sound judgement, a strong commitment to confidentiality and a genuine focus on delivering high-quality service to both internal and external customers.

- Experience dealing with accounts payable and receivable.
- Understanding of accounting and payroll functions.
- Experience in dealing with computerised financial systems.
- Skills in managing time, planning and organising one’s own work.
- Ability to prepare routine reports.
- Ability to communicate discreetly on sensitive issues, provide effective and courteous customer service and confidently contact outstanding debtors via telephone.
