Kumo Brewhouse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior barista who has a genuine passion for specialty coffee and hospitality to join our team for our upcoming new cafe.
Your day-to-day:
- Lead the coffee program, ensuring consistency, quality, and speed of service.
- Prepare espresso, filter, and specialty beverages with skill and precision.
- Maintain equipment, calibrations, and cleanliness to professional standards.
- Train, coach, and support junior team members
- Engage warmly with guests, providing genuine and attentive service.
- Assist with inventory management
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a senior or lead barista in a high-volume or specialty coffee venue.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working with specialty coffee
- Deep knowledge of coffee — from extraction and milk texturing to bean profiles and brew ratios.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a small team.
- Pride in presentation, efficiency, and customer experience.
- The ability to stay calm and composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.45 – $44.17 per hour
