About the Role
S4S Academy is urgently seeking passionate and experienced football coaches to join the Ashy Academy for the 2027 season.
The Ashy Academy is delivered by S4S Academy in partnership with Ashburton United Soccer Club and provides junior players with a structured, high-quality and development-focused football program.
Coaching opportunities are available across junior boys’ and girls’ Academy teams from U7 to U13.
Successful applicants will coach an Academy team throughout the season, including weekday evening training sessions, weekend matches and selected tournaments.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality weekly training sessions
- Coach the team during weekend Football Victoria matches
- Attend selected tournaments, Academy events and assessment sessions
- Support the technical, tactical and personal development of every player
- Provide clear, positive and constructive player feedback
- Work collaboratively with Ashy Academy technical and operational staff
- Maintain professional communication with players, parents and team officials
- Promote professionalism, respect and a positive team culture
- Follow the Ashy Academy coaching methodology and development framework
What We Are Looking For
Successful applicants will ideally have:
- Previous experience coaching junior or youth football
- A Football Australia coaching qualification
- A Football Australia/AFC C Diploma or higher qualification, which will be highly regarded
- A valid Employee Working with Children Check
- A strong understanding of junior player development
- Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
- Reliable availability for weekday evening training and weekend matches
- Availability for selected tournaments and Academy events
- A professional, positive and player-centred coaching approach
Developing coaches who are currently completing their qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
