A Telehealth Support Officer provides operational and technical support for virtual healthcare services, ensuring that patients and healthcare professionals can access telehealth consultations smoothly and efficiently. The role involves coordinating appointments, assisting users with telehealth platforms, maintaining accurate patient records, troubleshooting basic technical issues, and ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy and data security regulations. Telehealth Support Officers work closely with doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative teams to deliver high-quality remote healthcare services and enhance the overall patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule telehealth appointments for patients and healthcare providers.
- Assist patients in accessing and using telehealth platforms before and during consultations.
- Provide first-level technical support for video consultations and digital health applications.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update appointment information in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Monitor telehealth sessions and resolve connectivity or system issues when possible.
- Communicate with clinicians regarding appointment changes, referrals, and follow-up care.
- Ensure patient information is handled in accordance with privacy legislation and organizational policies.
- Support the onboarding and training of patients and staff on telehealth systems.
- Prepare operational reports and monitor telehealth service performance.
- Escalate complex technical or clinical issues to the appropriate teams.
- Assist with quality improvement initiatives to enhance telehealth services.
- Collaborate with IT, clinical, and administrative teams to ensure efficient and reliable virtual healthcare delivery.
Pay: From $8,000.00 per month
