BOILERMAKER – FULL‑TIME | BURTON SA
Adelaide Truck Wreckers is looking for an experienced Boilermaker in heavy trailer repairs to join our workshop team in Burton. This role suits someone confident working on heavy vehicles, trailers, and fabrication tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Happy to work around school pick up and drop off hours but needs to be VERY reliable at 5 days a week.
About the Role
You’ll be working with welders, CNC machinery, plasma cutters, lathes and gantry systems to complete a wide range of fabrication and repair tasks, including:
- Steel & alloy repairs — tipper tubs, chassis, frames
- Fabrication work — dollies, trailers, custom components
- General workshop duties supporting our wrecking and rebuild operations
Required Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years boilermaking or heavy fabrication experience
- Mechanical skills would be a bonus but not necessary
- Proven experience welding steel & alloy
- Ability to work independently
- Experience working on trucks, trailers or heavy equipment (highly regarded)
MUST have working rights in Australia
Required Certificates
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent)
- Welding certifications (MIG/TIG/Stick)
- White Card
- Forklift licence (preferred)
- Gantry/overhead crane experience (advantage)
