Bont Cycling is a globally recognised cycling footwear and performance equipment company, supplying athletes and cycling enthusiasts across international markets. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Financial Accountant to join our Sydney-based finance team.
Reporting to the commercial finance manager, this role will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, including reconciliations, revenue management, monthly reporting, tax compliance support across multiple jurisdictions, and assisting with the ongoing integration and optimisation of our SAP environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts and currencies.
- Perform accounts receivable reconciliations and debtor analysis to support timely collections and accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor and manage revenue recognition, sales reporting and related financial controls.
- Prepare monthly management reports, including financial performance analysis and key business metrics.
- Support the commercial finance manager with the implementation, integration and ongoing management of the company's SAP system and related finance processes.
- Maintain financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
- Facilitate the collection, reconciliation and review of financial information required for the preparation of tax returns in Australia and overseas markets.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualified, or currently working towards completion
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Financial Accountant, Accountant or Audit role.
- Strong experience with bank reconciliations, debtor management and financial reporting.
- Experience with SAP B1.
- Experience with Shopify online sales platform
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
