Infrastructure Canberra has an exciting opportunity within the Chief Operating Office. As part of the iCBR Human Resources leadership team, the Director Human Resources will contribute to the development and delivery of a range of strategic and operational people services across the directorate.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Human Resources some duties include:

Develop, maintain, implement and monitor human resource management policies and practices

Support in the design, deliver, drive and evaluate contemporary strategic and operational people services, programs and initiatives aligned with the Directorate’s workforce and Strategic Plan.

Advise, guide and coach managers; providing ideas and challenging leaders to act as a catalyst for change; and enhancing leader capability in people management.

Assist Executives/other leaders to manage complex people matters including assessment and management of workplace issues

Provide high-level advice, briefings, reports and correspondence to the Chief Operating Office, Executives and employees when required.

Notes: This is a temporary position available from 1 July 2026 to 31 December 2026, with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position will be activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
