You’ll make an impact by:
- Leading second-line oversight and assurance across treasury and capital risk activities, including liquidity, funding, capital adequacy, interest rate risk and counterparty credit risk
- Providing independent challenge and risk insights that strengthen Executive, Board and Asset and Liability Committee decision-making
- Identifying emerging risks and driving the ongoing enhancement of market and financial risk frameworks, policies and controls
- Delivering meaningful risk analytics, reporting and insights that support informed business decisions and regulatory obligations
- Influencing stakeholders across the Bank to embed effective risk management practices and strengthen risk culture
- Overseeing financial and market risk self-assessments against APRA prudential standards and supporting regulatory compliance
- Monitoring risk events, trends and concentrations to proactively identify areas of concern and recommend practical solutions
- Championing continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen risk capability, governance and business resilience

Working closely with senior leaders across Treasury, Finance and Risk, you'll provide trusted advice and independent challenge on matters that directly impact the Bank's balance sheet strength, resilience and long-term sustainability.

To succeed in this role, you will have:
- More than 10 years' experience in market risk, treasury risk or balance sheet risk management within a regulated financial institution
- Deep technical expertise across liquidity risk, capital management, IRRBB and counterparty credit risk
- Strong experience providing second-line oversight, challenge and assurance within a risk management environment
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and support Board and Executive decision-making
- Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting complex financial risk information and translating it into practical insights
- Experience developing, reviewing and enhancing risk frameworks, policies and governance practices
- Strong knowledge of financial services regulatory requirements and prudential standards
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Applied Finance or a related discipline, with postgraduate qualifications highly regarded
