This role sits within the Service Desk & End User Services in the Scalable Deployment Solutions team.

About the team:
Scalable Deployment Solutions is a high-performing team within the Department of Customer Service, responsible for delivering ICT deployment services to Service NSW centres across metropolitan, regional, and remote locations.
We are the engine behind the seamless technology integration that powers refurbished and new Service NSW Centres — ensuring each site is equipped to deliver modern, efficient, and customer-focused service experiences. From facial recognition cameras to self-service kiosks, we deploy the technology that enables the state's digital service transformation.

What you will do:
The Deployment Specialist plays a key role in delivering end-to-end ICT hardware deployments across NSW points of presence by installing, configuring, testing, and supporting user technologies in collaboration with vendors and project teams, contributing to the NSW Government’s digital transformation agenda and improved community access to essential services.
Your Day to Day:
Lead and execute hardware deployments across Service NSW Centres, including travel to metro and regional locations.
- Install, configure, and test a wide range of hardware such as self-service kiosks, digital signage, POS terminals, facial recognition cameras, and conferencing systems.
- Perform on-site readiness checks, asset verification, and troubleshooting to ensure successful deployment outcomes.
- Liaise with vendors, technicians, and internal stakeholders to resolve deployment issues and manage escalations.
- Maintain deployment documentation and contribute to accurate "as built" records and handovers.
- Provide real-time support during go-live events and be a key point of contact during critical on-site activities.
- Contribute to programs that directly improve how NSW communities’ access and interact with government services.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Experience coordinating and delivering ICT hardware deployments in dynamic, multi-site environments.
- Strong hands-on technical knowledge of device installation, setup, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent time and task management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Confidence in working independently on-site while also collaborating closely with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset to tackle on-ground challenges as they arise.
- A passion for contributing to initiatives that improve government service delivery for communities across NSW
