Tour Coordinator (Casual/Part-Time)
Carnival Dance Challenge | Travel Required | Weekends
Are you the person who thrives on the buzz of a live event, loves a well-run bump-in, and gets a genuine kick out of watching dancers have the best day of their year? We want you on our team!
Carnival Dance Challenge is one of Australia and New Zealand's leading dance competitions, touring nationally with 30-40 events a year — from regional heats to our National Finals. We're on the hunt for a Tour Coordinator to help us deliver unforgettable event experiences, event after event, city after city.
What you'll be doing
- Travelling with us on weekends to our events across Australia (and occasionally NZ!)
- Coordinating bump-in and bump-out at each venue — you'll be hands-on and across every detail
- Packing and unpacking shipments before and after each event
- Managing and following up on shipments so gear, merch and event essentials arrive where they need to be, on time
- Running critiques and music tech on the day — you'll need to be comfortable and confident with tech and AV systems
- Being a friendly, calm, go-to face for our attendees, dancers, and families throughout the event
- Helping the whole CDC team deliver a seamless, joyful experience from the moment doors open
What we're looking for
- Availability to travel most weekends during our touring season
- Tech-savvy — comfortable managing music playback and critique systems under pressure
- A genuine love of dance and the dance community
- A mature, reliable, and highly organised approach — you'll be trusted with logistics that keep the whole show running
- Great energy and people skills — you set the tone for how our attendees feel all day
- A team player who's happy rolling up their sleeves for bump-in and bump-out, rain or shine
Why join CDC?
You'll be part of a close-knit, high-energy team that puts on some of the best dance events in the country.
