Kenko Sushi House is a Japanese takeaway shop located in the main food court of the UQ St Lucia campus. We are a fast paced shop selling a range of sushi and rice bowls. Store opens 5 days a week.
1) Kitchen Hand - Casual positions available:
Responsibilities may include (depending on shift times):
- Making sushi
- Food handling and preparation
- Making hot food orders
- Using the fryer
- Dishwashing and general clean ups
Shifts range from 3 – 8 hours between 6am till 7:30pm
*Priority to people who can work 6am shifts
MUST HAVE:
- Minimum 6 months kitchen working experience
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Fluent in English
- Self-motivated
- Fast learner
2) Front of the house customer service - Casual positions available:
Some responsibilities include:
- Serving customers sushi
- Using cash registers (POS)
- Dishwashing and general clean ups
- Helping kitchen staff
Shifts range from 3 – 6 hours between 7am to 7:00pm
MUST HAVE:
- Fluent in English
- Experience in customer service, POS system and cash handling skills
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Self-motivated
- Fast learner
