About the role
We're looking for a registered pharmacist to own our weekend shifts. You'll be the pharmacist in charge on Saturdays and Sundays — dispensing medications, counseling patients, and keeping the pharmacy running smoothly with support from our weekend pharmacy technician(s). This is a great fit for a pharmacist who wants steady, predictable weekend hours without a full-time weekday commitment.
Schedule and pay
- Days: Saturday and Sunday
- Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm on Saturday, 9:30 am- 3:00 pm on Sunday
- Pay: $65–$75/hour, depending on experience
- Start date: Flexible — within the month
What you'll do
- Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- handle patient enquiries appropriately
- Counsel patients on medication use, interactions, and side effects
- Administer immunizations (flu, COVID-19, and others as certified)
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians during weekend shifts
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Manage inventory and controlled substance logs for the weekend period
- Respond to patient and provider calls regarding prescriptions
What we're looking for
- Active pharmacist license, APHRA registered
- 1+ year of retail or clinical pharmacy experience preferred
- Immunization certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Comfortable working with a lean weekend team and making independent decisions
- Strong communication skills with patients and providers
- Proficiency with pharmacy dispensing software (e.g., Z dispensing, Fred)
