Tiling Offsider / All-Rounder Wanted – Melbourne Waterproofing & Maintenance Co.
Humble Maintenance Care is a Melbourne-based remedial waterproofing and property maintenance business. We're the go-to for fixing leaks, waterproofing wet areas (bathrooms, balconies, laundries) and general property upkeep across Melbourne. We're hands-on, no-nonsense, and take pride in doing the job right the first time. Now we need an extra pair of hands to keep up with demand.
The Role
We're after a Tiling Offsider / All-Rounder to work alongside our tiler and support the team across waterproofing and maintenance jobs. Every day's a bit different — one day you're prepping a bathroom for a membrane, the next you're helping out on a balcony leak repair or general property maintenance job. If you like variety and don't mind getting stuck in, this is for you.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting our tiler with wall and floor tiling on wet area jobs
- Prepping surfaces – demo, cleaning, levelling, screeding
- Helping apply waterproofing membranes to bathrooms, balconies and laundries
- General labouring – mixing, carrying, cutting, set-up and pack-down
- Keeping job sites clean and tidy (client properties, so presentation matters)
- Loading/unloading and handling materials and tools
- Driving between job sites across Melbourne (own reliable transport needed)
What we're looking for:
- Some experience in tiling, waterproofing or general labouring is a big plus — but we're happy to train the right person if you've got the right attitude
- White Card (essential)
- Own transport and valid driver's licence
- Must have (or be willing to obtain) an ABN — this role is offered on a subcontractor basis
- Good English reading and writing skills — needed for understanding site instructions and safety documentation, and communicating clearly with clients and the team
- Comfortable using a smartphone for job scheduling, taking site photos, and staying in touch with the team throughout the day
- Reliable, punctual, and happy to do physical work
- A genuine "all-rounder" who can turn their hand to different tasks
- Good attitude, works well in a small team, takes pride in the job
