About the Role
We are looking for caring, reliable and motivated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.
Your role may include:
- Community access and social activities
- Transport to appointments and activities
- Assistance with daily routines
- Meal preparation
- Light domestic assistance
- Shopping and errands
- Companionship and social support
- Supporting participants to achieve their individual goals
- Following participant support plans and routines
- Completing progress notes and required documentation
- Communicating professionally with participants, families and the Help Haven Support team
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Caring, patient and respectful
- Reliable and punctual
- Professional and trustworthy
- Comfortable working independently
- A good communicator
- Passionate about supporting people with disability
- Respectful of participant choice, dignity and independence
Previous experience in disability or community support is highly regarded.
Requirements
Applicants should have or be willing to obtain:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check, where required
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
- Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable and insured vehicle
- Appropriate working rights in Australia
A Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or a related qualification is desirable but not essential for all positions.
