Join a well-established brokerage in a true client-facing Account Executive role, managing a diverse existing portfolio across Queensland and regional markets.
This role offers full ownership of a mixed portfolio generating ~$270–290k across 400 policies. It’s ideal for a relationship-driven broker looking to enhance client servicing, drive retention and grow an already successful book.
This is not a support role - it’s a genuine AE opportunity with autonomy, flexibility and strong earning potential.
Who will you be working with?
You’ll join a close-knit and established brokerage team with offices in Brisbane and Rockhampton. The Brisbane office currently houses a small collaborative team led by experienced industry operators who value professionalism, accountability and long-term client relationships. The environment is supportive but hands-on, with flexibility offered once trust and capability are established.

What will you be doing?
- Take ownership of an established portfolio and maintain strong retention outcomes
- Conduct proactive portfolio reviews including sum insured reviews and remarketing where required
- Manage client relationships end-to-end as the primary contact
- Identify growth opportunities across existing accounts
- Service a broad range of commercial, farm and domestic insurance risks
- Travel to meet with clients and maintain strong relationship engagement
- Work closely with leadership to continue developing the portfolio
What do you need?
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Commercial Broker or Account Executive
- Demonstrated experience managing your own portfolio independently
- Strong relationship management and communication skills
- Ability to confidently engage with a broad range of clients
- A polished and professional presentation style
- Self-motivated with strong ownership mentality
- Willingness to travel as required
- Previous exposure across SME and mid-market risks highly regarded
