We're a local, family-owned skip bin company established in 2018, proudly servicing the Gold Coast region. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced and reliable Administration Assistant to join our friendly team and help keep our office running smoothly.
About the Role
Based at our yard in Norwell, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers and a key part of our day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who's organised, personable, and comfortable juggling a variety of admin and basic bookkeeping tasks.
Flexible hours – shifts ranging in length between 6am and 4pm for a range of 10 to 38 hours per week. Casual to start building to full time for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering phone enquiries, providing quotes, and processing bookings
- Filing and general office administration
- Processing customer payments
- Bank and account reconciliation
- Invoicing
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Data entry
- Handling correspondence (email and phone)
- Other ad hoc administrative tasks as required
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in an administration or office support role
- Experience with basic bookkeeping/accounts tasks (invoicing, reconciliation, AP/AR)
- Confident, friendly phone manner and strong customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Bin Manager, Xero, and Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook highly regarded
- Experience in waste management administration preferred but not essential – full training provided
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working autonomously as well as part of a small team
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
