The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Motor Mechanic to join our workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of passenger vehicles, 4WDs, and light commercial vehicles while ensuring all work is completed to a high standard. This role is ideal for a reliable mechanic who takes pride in quality workmanship, has strong diagnostic skills, and is committed to delivering safe and efficient vehicle repairs.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on passenger vehicles, 4WDs, and light commercial vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment
- Conduct inspections and identify vehicle issues and repair requirements
- Repair and replace vehicle components including engines, brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust systems, and other mechanical parts
- Carry out logbook servicing in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Perform engine tuning, fault finding, and performance checks
- Ensure all repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and automotive industry standards
- Work collaboratively with other mechanics and workshop staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Motor Mechanic or similar automotive repair role
- Certificate III or Certificate IV in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (required)
- Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repair procedures
- Experience working with various makes and models of vehicles
- Ability to use automotive diagnostic tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills

Work Schedule
- 38 hours per week (full-time)
