Apex Home Improvements is a retail steel supplier and manufacturer of Home Improvement products. Our business is based at Edwardstown and we service the public and commercial sectors.
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver / Storeperson to join our team.
This is a hands on role that involves delivering Steel Products, Sheds, Verandahs, Carports and Fencing to customer's and job sites.
Part of this role also incorporates working with in our factory / store at Edwardstown and assisting our welders in our busy workshop.
No Two days are the same, making this an ideal position for someone who enjoys variety and physical work.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely deliver sheds, carports and steel products using company utes, trailers, trucks.
- Load and unload deliveries securely
- Ensure deliveries are completed on time with excellent customer service
- Assist customers in the steel store
- Help with general warehouse and yard duties, welding experience will also be highly regarded
- Assist with basic welding and fabrication tasks
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Carry out vehicle and trailer safety checks
- Assist with crane truck use
- Loading and unloading with forklift
About you
To be successful for the role you will have:
- Current Australian Driver's licence (HR preferred but not essential)
- Experience towing trailers confidently
- Forklift licence / or willing to obtain
- Basic Welding experience or willingness to learn
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks.
- A positive attitude and strong reliable work ethic
- Ability to work independantly and part of a team
- Strong customer service skills
- Able to drive manual vehicles
