The Role
The Technical Projects Team Lead is responsible for providing leadership, management and direction to project managers and teams delivering Digital Health projects. The role will also be responsible for leading and managing larger projects and programs. The incumbent will be an experienced project professional with a deep understanding of change planning and implementation, skilled in applying high level project management methodologies to control management of scope, risks and issues, budget, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to keep all project managers and stakeholders coordinated on delivering progress and achieving business benefits.
The role will be responsible for establishing structures and mechanisms for portfolio management, project organisation, governance and oversight, tailoring and applying best practice processes and tools to meet the needs of Digital Health projects, communicating project management practices and standards to executive management and all Digital Health staff, and ensuring adherence to standards and delivery of appropriate documentation.
This role will have a strong emphasis on guiding Project Managers and Business Analysts in the end-to-end planning and coordination of projects across internal and external teams and vendors. Project managers will be expected to deliver and report project outcomes in line with project scope on time, on budget, on quality.
The role requires use of proven project management methodologies, the establishment and maintenance of excellent working relationships with team members and relevant business stakeholders to deliver Bayside Health technology requirements. The role is accountable for the professional development of team members and workload management.
Key Responsibilities:
The Technical Projects Team Leader should demonstrate competence in the following areas

Provide project management expertise to deliver high levels of productivity and outcomes to support the business.

Develops team members and shares knowledge and expertise with a view to increasing overall team knowledge base.

To foster a focus on excellence across the team.

To instigate and promote/foster a culture of sharing ideas and taking initiative.

Support the team through transitions, demonstrating effective change leadership and role modelling behaviours.

Develop and maintain a culture within the team which emphasises strong customer service and ongoing development of efficient work practices. Encourage and facilitate effective teamwork.

Supervision of work done by staff, including appropriate monitoring of deliverables to ensure quality outcome.

Monitor workload and turnaround times. Escalate to manager with recommendations, as appropriate.

Conduct six monthly performance and development reviews with assigned staff members to set defined
-
Establish structures and mechanisms for portfolio management and project prioritisation, organisation, governance and oversight.

Manage the portfolio of technical projects

Lead the implementation of portfolio and project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines and standards within Digital Health
-
Provide leadership and direction to the Technical Projects Team, ensuring most efficient use of their skills and abilities, in order to deliver a high quality, timely service across Bayside Health.
Skills:

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information
- Technology or similar discipline

Qualification in Project Management

ITIL Foundation desirable
