Due to rapid and sustained growth and recently awarded high-profile contracts, our Heavy Lift division are seeking an experienced and driven Heavy Lift Senior Project Engineer to join our growing Engineering team based in Victoria Park, WA.
We seek dynamic Heavy Lift Engineering professional looking to play a pivotal part in the execution of our heavy lift and haul work scopes across a wide range of projects. Reporting to our Engineering Manager, you will be part of our in-house engineering team, with opportunity to assist in mentoring and support of the Engineering team developing their skillset as well as developing your skillset & career.
The role will see you working on projects from tender to site delivery, initially from the office & on project awarded mobilise to site. As Senior Project Engineer you will join the team on Site on a rostered basis (Fly in Fly Out Roster), when on site camp accommodation and site uplift will be paid in addition to your base salary.
Key Responsibilities:

Support our internal and external projects, providing technical support & safely deliver innovative solutions for our clients

Development of Lift/Transport Studies, Work packs, Drawings and Calculations as required

Undertake and support Route Surveys and complete swept paths and produce summary reports as required.
- Provide support and leadership mentoring junior team members

Work on Site, on a FIFO roster providing engineering support for live projects
- Regular site travel to support project planning and execution.

Assist in the Development of Procedures for Lift/Shift Operations and Specialised Equipment

Design of specialized rigging and structural supports

Providing structural calculations as required for bespoke steelwork solutions

Generate workshop drawings for fabrications

Work closely with stakeholders across all aspects of Tendering, Project Planning, Execution and HSE

Using your experience across Heavy lift projects, support of the wider team to provide concept/bespoke engineering solutions to complex challenges.
- Manage work scope, schedule and budgets where required
What you’ll bring:

Degree qualified in Engineering Qualification, Mechanical/Civil/Structural Engineering.

Navisworks experience an advantage.
-
Lift Planning Software such as LICCON / Cranimax / Craneplanner 2.0.

Experience working with mobile / crawler cranes.

Experience working with SPMT / SPT heavy transport.
-
5-10yrs experience in the Heavy Lift Industry with projects on site.

Structural Design Capabilities and FEA experience a plus.

Drive to improve, develop your skillset and your capabilities and lead others in the Engineering team.
