The Opportunity.
BBLC Wangaratta is a newly opened service, and with an increase in enrolments, we are looking to expand our team of passionate, caring, and professional Educators, who are ready to continue and expand our learning spaces and opportunities for the children. So if you have a passion for early childhood education and want to make a real difference in the lives of young children, this is the role for you. This role is a permanent, full-time position commencing ASAP.
Role Description:
Child Supervision and Safety
- Supervise and monitor children at all times to ensure their safety and wellbeing within the care environment
- Implement and maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing physical environment consistent with relevant health, safety and hygiene regulations
- Administer basic first aid and respond appropriately to medical or emergency situations.
- Identify and report signs of abuse, neglect, or developmental concerns in accordance with mandatory reporting obligations.
Educational Program Delivery
- Plan, prepare, and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and meet the individual needs, interests, abilities, and cultural backgrounds of each child.
- Facilitate play-based learning that promotes the cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and creative development of children.
- Observe and document children's learning, development, and progress.
Personal Care and Daily Routines
- Assist children with personal care activities, including feeding, toileting, nappy changing, dressing, and sleep routines.
- Support children in developing self-help skills and independence appropriate to their age and developmental stage.
Family and Community Engagement
- Build and maintain positive, respectful, and professional relationships with children's families and guardians.
- Communicate regularly with parents/carers regarding children's daily experiences, progress, and wellbeing.
- Participate in parent meetings, information nights, and community engagement events as required.
Teamwork and Professional Practice
- Work collaboratively with coworkers and centre management to ensure consistent, high-quality care and education.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and training as directed.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and administrative tasks as required by centre policies and regulatory obligations.
- Comply with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards including the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.
What you need to apply for the role:
- Diploma-qualified Educators (or actively working towards these qualifications)
- Certificate III in Early Education and Care
- Genuine passion for early childhood education and care
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Current First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Thorough understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Positive, proactive, and professional attitude

Pay: $34.00 – $39.00 per hour
