Box Office Administrator

$ 46.57 per hour (including 25% casual loading)
We're looking for a Box Office Administrator to join our Creative Venues, Events & Tourism team. In this role, you'll be the welcoming face of Gippsland Performing Arts Centre (GPAC), delivering exceptional customer service, supporting box office operations and helping create memorable experiences for patrons attending performances and events.

What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patrons, visitors and stakeholders across GPAC and other creative venues
- Manage ticketing, customer enquiries and point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide administrative support including financial processing, reporting and correspondence
- Support Front of House operations and act as Front of House Supervisor when rostered
- Work collaboratively with team members, volunteers and Front of House Officers to ensure successful event delivery
- Contribute to the professional presentation and smooth operation of Council's creative venues
About You
You are a customer-focused and organised professional who enjoys helping people and creating positive experiences. You bring strong administration skills, excellent attention to detail and confidence working with a variety of systems and stakeholders.
You are comfortable managing competing priorities, handling cash and financial transactions accurately, and working as part of a collaborative team. An interest in the arts and entertainment industry would be highly regarded.
Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience providing a high level of customer service in a reception, retail, hospitality or similar customer-focused environment
- Experience in administration, including cash handling, correspondence and maintaining accurate records
- Well-developed communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn ticketing, point-of-sale and venue management software
