About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our Nambour residential aged care service.
In this key leadership role, you will work closely with the Residential Services Manager and Clinical Governance team to support the delivery of safe, high-quality and person-centred care. You will provide clinical direction, guidance and support to Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and care team members, helping to ensure residents receive coordinated, responsive and respectful care.
This role will suit a Clinical Nurse who is confident in leading clinical practice, supporting compliance, identifying and responding to clinical risk, and mentoring team members to deliver best-practice aged care.
What You’ll Do
- Provide experienced clinical leadership to nursing and care teams.
- Support the Residential Services Manager with day-to-day clinical oversight.
- Lead and guide the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based resident care.
- Monitor resident health and wellbeing, including recognising and responding to deterioration.
- Support appropriate escalation of clinical concerns and timely interventions.
- Oversee care planning, assessments, clinical documentation and resident reviews.
- Support AN-ACC documentation, processes and funding requirements.
- Contribute to clinical audits, data analysis and quality improvement initiatives.
- Promote compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, legislation and Sundale policies.
- Mentor, coach and support team members to strengthen clinical capability.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and internal teams.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and resident-focused environment.
About You
You are an experienced Clinical Nurse or senior Registered Nurse with strong aged care knowledge and a genuine commitment to resident wellbeing.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in aged care clinical leadership.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Experience supporting or leading clinical and care teams.
- Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Working knowledge of AN-ACC and clinical documentation requirements.
- Confidence in recognising deterioration and supporting escalation of care.
- The ability to coach, mentor and guide team members.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- A positive, resilient and collaborative approach.
- A passion for delivering safe, respectful and person-centred care.
Required Qualifications or Certificates
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Current Queensland Driver Licence.
- Demonstrated experience in an aged care setting as a senior Registered Nurse or Clinical Nurse.
- National Police Check, or ability to obtain.
- Pre-employment medical assessment.
