We are seeking a motivated and experienced Trailer Trades Assistant to join our team, maintaining our fleet of trailers at our head office in Warwick QLD. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual who takes pride in quality workmanship and thrives in a fast-paced workshop environment.
This position will have Monday to Friday as your workdays with a rotating Saturday roster.
Requirements
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and servicing on Wickhams trailers
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
- Report directly to the Trailer Bay Leading Hand
- Operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely and effectively
- Adhere to NHVAS (National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme) procedures
- Follow all occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations and company policies
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar role (trailers, heavy vehicles, or mechanical trades)
- Strong mechanical skills and practical problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to workplace safety
- Confidence using a wide range of hand and power tools
