Join the Hunter Drug and Alcohol Counselling Team at James Fletcher Hospital Campus, Newcastle. This role offers the opportunity to provide face-to-face care to clients across the Newcastle area while being part of a supportive and multidisciplinary team in a dynamic healthcare setting.
About the role:
In this role, you will conduct client assessments and develop care and management plans to achieve optimal outcomes within prescribed timeframes. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will make individual case decisions guided by best practice while effectively prioritising tasks in a dynamic environment with competing demands.
You will be supported by your Line Manager, the Allied Health Lead, and fellow colleagues within the DACS team. There will be orientation upon commencement, and we openly encourage and support opportunities to engage in professional development.

Requirements:
- Must hold a degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Counselling or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer, which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association and full registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), where applicable
Eligible to drive in NSW and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes which may involve driving long distances.
