About the role
Temporary part time opportunity to provide high quality and contemporary family-centred paediatric Speech Pathology services in the areas of complex communication difficulties, feeding and swallowing disorders, with a focus on out-patient and inpatient care for children aged (0 - 16 years).
The candidate is required to demonstrate professional and clinical leadership in the promotion and provision of integrated, holistic services in accordance with professional standards, best practice and evidence.
There is a requirement to function to a high level within the multidisciplinary team and support the continuum of care through liaison with external paediatric specialist providers to achieve optimal service delivery
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Deliver high level speech pathology clinical services for Children's services which includes inpatients, outpatients and Children's ED at TPCH, and outreach to Norfolk Island clients in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, with minimal direct clinical supervision.
Provide high level clinical advice within specific expertise to the Director of Speech Pathology, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding professional standards and clinical service development.
Lead the professional development of clinical speech pathology staff and students, through the monitoring of professional standards, provision of training and clinical practice supervision.
