Your New Role
As Manager Risk & Compliance - Advisory & Assurance, you'll act as the key Risk and Compliance partner supporting financial advice, guidance and digital advice services across Member Growth and Member Experience, Education & Advice. You'll provide independent oversight and assurance, helping the business effectively manage risk, meet regulatory obligations and make informed decisions within risk appetite.
This is an opportunity to influence risk culture, support strategic initiatives, contribute to assurance activities and deliver valuable insights that help protect our members and our organisation.

Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with business leaders and Line 1 Risk & Compliance teams to strengthen risk and compliance practices.
- Provide independent oversight, challenge and advice across financial advice, guidance and digital advice services.
- Support risk assessments, control reviews, incident management, breach reporting and remediation activities.
- Lead and contribute to Line 2 assurance reviews and thematic assessments.
- Monitor emerging risks and provide actionable insights to support informed decision making.
- Review compliance obligations and support the business in responding to regulatory change.
- Analyse risk and compliance data and prepare clear, meaningful reporting for senior stakeholders and governance forums.
- Support business resilience activities, including business continuity planning and testing.
How do you exceed our expectations?
- At least 5 years’ experience in Line 1 or Line 2 risk and compliance roles within superannuation, wealth management, or financial advice organisations.
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, risk assessment methodologies and control environments.
- Demonstrated experience supporting financial advice, guidance or digital advice services.
- Sound knowledge of compliance obligations relevant to financial advice, including Best Interest Duty requirements.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and practical way.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence, challenge and build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- Experience working with AI and AI agents to provide services to members and clients (highly regarded)
- Experience with managed investment schemes (highly regarded)
